Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India (FCA) launched its Italian brand Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione in India on Tuesday.

"We are extremely pleased to introduce the iconic Italian brand - Abarth from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' stable to our customers in India," said FCA India president and MD Kevin Flynn in a statement.

"The flagship model Abarth 595 Competizione, a sports performance coupe, is renowned world over for its sheer performance, iconic style and rich heritage," added Flynn while also introducing another hatchback Punto Abarth.

The Abarth 595 Competizione is a 3-door hatchback powered with a 1.4 L T-Jet engine producing 160 PS of power, taking the car from 0-100 in just 7.6 seconds which makes it furiously fast and fun to drive, added the statement.

The new car is available in four colours with select retailers in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.

FCA brands include Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Ram, SRT Ferrari and Maserati.
