Over 80 issues confronting the industry, entrepreneurs and investors were resolved Thursday at the second Samadhaan Divas (Resolution Day), organized by Udyog Bandhu, the investment facilitation agency of the Uttar Pradesh government, an official said.

The issues were mainly concerning the issuance of no-objection certificates (NoCs) by electrical safety department and the UP Power Corporation and Pollution Control Board. The others were related to public works department and commercial tax.

Infrastructure and Industrial Development Secretary Sanjiv Saran said, "To facilitate industrial growth in the State, government departments should take prompt action to resolve issues of industry and enterprises."

Saran also directed the nodal officer of UP State Industrial Development Corporation to inspect the site in Chinhat industrial area to address the issue of water drainage.

Over 150 issues have been resolved in two sittings held till now.
