India's largest passenger car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki Friday reported a healthy sales growth of 21.7 percent in total sales, including exports, for July at 101,380 units.

The company sold 83,299 units in July 2013.

The company's domestic sales zoomed by 19.9 percent to 90,093 units during the month under review as compared to 75,145 units sold in the corresponding month of last year.

Maruti Suzuki exported 11,287 units last month, which was an increase of 38.4 percent from 8,154 units sold overseas during the corresponding month of 2013.

Sales in passenger cars segment, which comprises brands like Maruti 800, Alto, A-Star, WagonR, Swift, Estilo, Ritz, Dzire, Celerio and SX4, were higher by 15.5 percent at 72,782 units sold from an off-take of 63,040 units in the corresponding month of 2013.

The off-take of utility vehicles like Gypsy, Grand Vitara and Ertiga was up by 23.4 percent at 5,631 units from sales of 4,562 units in July 2013.

Sales in van segment that includes brands like Omni and Eeco rocketed by 54.8 percent at 11,680 units from an off-take of 7,543 units in the corresponding month of 2013.
