Automobile giant Maruti Suzuki Saturday posted a 23 percent decline in net profit at Rs.423.8 crore for the quarter ended June 30.

The company had earned a net profit of Rs.549 crore in the like period of the previous financial year, it said in a regulatory filing.

Total income stood at Rs.10,890.5 crore during the quarter under review against Rs.8,638 crore during the year-ago period, it added.

At the Bombay Stock Exchange, shares of the company Friday had closed at Rs.1,110.65.
