State-run National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has added another product to its portfolio with the launch of aluminium chequered sheets, the company said Friday.

NALCO's smelter at Angul in Orissa, about 160 km from here, has started production with thickness ranging from 0.60 mm to 3 mm.

"The new product has a high demand in automobile industry, vehicle manufacturing and for industrial flooring," the company said in a statement.
