In partnership with global consultancy firm EY, the Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday launched the ePragati Core Platform, a new initiative to accelerate the digital transformation journey in the state.

This initiative will help connect the citizen to 34 departments, 336 autonomous organisations and to over 745 services, EY, also known as Ernst & Young, said in a statement.

ePragati Core Platform aims to deliver a proven and scalable technological foundation for digital transformation of government to citizen, government to business and government to government services, by enabling departments and organisations to streamline operations, deliver consistent service and modernise operations without interruptions.

ePragati's rapid application development platform with in-built libraries is designed to reduce the application development time, optimise costs and standardise the experience of the citizen on the applications.

As a part of this engagement, EY said it set up a Centre of Excellence for helping develop a robust body of knowledge and executing government enterprise architecture and technology planning.
