Sensex up 136 points; capital goods stocks gain

A benchmark index of the equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive
Index (Sensex), on Friday was trading 135.74 points or 0.49 percent up
as capital goods stocks rose.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also trading 42.20 points or 0.51 percent up at 8,384.35 points.
The
Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at
27,649.78 points, was trading at 27,593.32 points (at 9.22 a.m.) in the
early session, up 135.74 points or 0.49 percent from the previous day's
close at 27,457.58 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 27,694.41 points and a low of 27,516.30 points in the trade so far.
Good buying was observed in capital goods, banking and IT sectors, while selling pressure was seen in auto sector.
