Dr. Anup K. Pujari Wednesday assumed charge as new Secretary of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, informed ministry.

Anup K. Pujari, IAS of Karnataka cadre, has succeeded former MSME Secretary Madhav Lal, who retired on Monday. Dr. Pujari, an officer of 1980 batch of IAS, was previously Secretary of the Ministry of Mines.

He had a long tenure in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry as Director General Foreign Trade (DGFT) from 2010 to 2014.

Dr. Pujari serves as Joint Secretary of Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance at Government of India.
