Global PC and printer major HP
Inc on Tuesday unveiled several new offerings that included a Next-Gen
security service, a commercial virtual reality (VR) headset and a new
range of consumer and commercial PCs.
During its flagship "HP
Reinvent: World Partner Forum" event here, the company also outlined its
digital transformation agenda, insights-driven go-to-market (GTM)
strategy and partner-enablement enhancements.
"As customers'
expectations for amazing technology is higher than ever, collaborating
with our partners to meet the evolving needs of the next generation has
never been more critical," said Alex Cho, President, Personal Systems,
HP Inc.
As the security landscape continues to evolve, the
company unveiled "HP DaaS Proactive Security Service" which is designed
to go beyond anti-virus solutions and provide a critical extra layer of
defence.
As the world's most advanced isolation security service
for files and browsing on Windows 10 PCs, the new HP security service
provides real-time malware protection for computing endpoints and threat
analytics through HP "TechPulse".
The "HP DaaS Proactive Security Service" will be available in more than 50 countries in April globally.
HP
also showcased its "Reverb" VR headset (professional edition) with
twice the resolution, two-thirds the weight and half the US cost of the
HP Mixed Reality VR Headset.
"Reverb" aims to deliver a truly
immersive experience with amazing clarity with 2160 x 2160 panel per eye
and 114-degree field of view.
The "Reverb" VR headset-Pro edition is expected to be available late April onwards.
"By
creating ways for customers to manage, detect and defend against
security threats with HP DaaS Proactive Security Service; redefining
training with HP Reverb; and bringing commercial and consumer premium PC
design mainstream, we remain passionate about creating the world's most
exciting devices and intelligent solutions," Cho emphasised.
Designed
for the modern SMB workforce, HP expanded its AMD commercial portfolio
with the addition of the HP ProBook 445R G6, HP ProBook 455R G6, and the
HP ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini.
Powered by 2nd Generation AMD
Ryzen mobile processors, the HP ProBook 445R G6 and HP ProBook 455R G6
notebooks feature an ultra-slim aluminum chassis with crisp lines and
clean edges.
The 180-degree hinge allows users to lay the
devices flat, making it easier to share content and collaborate, while
HP "Noise Cancellation" technology reduces background noise by up to
20dB, informed the company.
The HP ProBook 445R G6 and HP ProBook 455R G6 are expected to be available in June.
The HP ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini is expected to be available in April for a starting price of $499.
"The
digital transformation of our global economy is impacting all facets of
business on a global scale from jobs, to trade policies to supply
chains," said Jos Brenkel, Global Head of Sales and Strategy, HP Inc.
"Our
commitment to take purposeful action is unwavering - preparing
ourselves, our partners and our customers for what's coming next,"
Brenkel added.
