The Dubai International Airport has planned to offer temporary visas to transit passengers, an official announced.
The
visas will be given to "most nationalities", Amer Abdul Raoof, Director
of Dubai 10X 2.0, a scheme which aims to reform all 36 governmental
departments of Dubai, said on Monday.
In 2017, the airport was
deemed as the world's busiest airport as it welcomed 88.2 million
passengers, whereas Dubai hosted 15.8 million overnight tourists.
Raoof
said that the airport was also installing a "Microcosm of Dubai", which
is a virtual reality tour of Dubai's landmarks such as the Burj
Khalifa, the Burj Al Arab and the Dubai Mall, the world's biggest
shopping mall.
