Indian startups are playing a key role in the country's economic growth and Vodafone aims to be the partner of choice for leading Indian start-ups, said  Ajay Sehgal, Sr Vice President & Head- SME & SOHO, Vodafone Business Services, in an exclusive interview with SME Times.

Sehgal added that the 'Ready Start-up Kit' launched by Vodafone Business Services recently provides a range of startup-friendly services, such as IoT, Cloud and Marketing Solutions.

Please tell our readers about the newly launched Ready Start-up Kit by Vodafone India?
Ajay Sehgal: Start-ups are playing an important role in India’s economic growth story today, and are delivering a diverse range of innovative solutions. Vodafone is committed to the Government's 'Start-Up India' program and aims to be the partner of choice for leading start-ups, incubators and accelerators in India. Towards furthering this commitment, Vodafone India, today launched the Ready Start-up Kit to empower Indian start-ups on their innovation and growth journey along with a dedicated team for assistance across sales, solution, service, and on-boarding.

How this kit is beneficial for start-ups?
Ajay Sehgal: The Ready Start-up Kit, brings forth our global experience of working with start-ups and reinforces our commitment to this community. The Ready Start-up kit comprises of IoT, Cloud and Marketing Solutions, with dedicated support. The kit includes access to a host of cutting-edge solutions which will give start-ups complete visibility, manageability, and control over various business assets for implementing and ensuring desired outcomes.

Vodafone wants to bring forth Vodafone's global experience as an enabler of start-ups? What kind of experience is this?
Ajay Sehgal: Well Vodafone is committed to “Start Up India” program and aims to be the partner of choice for leading start-ups, incubators and accelerators in India. We intend to help start-ups bring innovative products/services to market leveraging our IoT solution across consumer and industrial IoT domain.  Provide access to our APIs to build a highly personalized mobile centric solution/applications. We also want to help start-ups grow their business using our comprehensive suite of solutions across Mobility, Cloud, IoT and analytics.

Can start-ups expect more such support programmes from Vodafone India in the future?

Start Up is a focused segment for us, and we have a dedicated team to for sales, solution, service and on boarding assistance.
